Warranty

Polaris certifies the authenticity of every product, made entirely by hand, to ensure the highest quality standards, using high quality raw materials of excellent quality. 

Polaris products are certified by the Certifying Body specific to sectors of furniture and wooden furniture, according to the current regulations for Quality Systems

Covered by this Warranty, which, unless otherwise specified, refers only to a household product and is limited to the repair or replacement of the product proved defective. The Warranty is void if the products have been disassembled, modified or repaired by external staff not qualified by the Company or if they have been placed outdoors or in humid environments. 

This Warranty does not cover failures or defects due to incidental or consequential damages, including loss of time, money and usability of the product. The responsibility of Polaris will however never exceed the purchase price of the product or its complete replacement. 

In the case where, at the time of repair, were not available materials identical to those damaged, Polaris reserves the right to replace them with others of equal quality and value.

 

Terms and durability 

This Warranty is for the benefit of the original purchaser of the product. It is not transferable. 

Therefore, the request for assistance under this Warranty must be made ​​through the retailer where you made ​​your purchase and upon presentation of proof of purchase dated, as well as photographic documentation attesting the alleged defect or malfunction. The terms applicable to the service request, which must be submitted as soon as you experience any defect in the product, are as follows: 

• thirty (30) days after discovery of the defect or failure if it was found after delivery and then to the fulfillment of planned inspection; 

• fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase, for visible defects reported at the time of delivery.

Polaris will examine the product and decide if the problem is covered under Warranty. 

Following examination of the product, the Company will repair or replace the same within a reasonable time, which will be determined by Polaris in relation to the extent of the repair and / or characteristics of the goods to be replaced with a product equal or comparable to its judgment, in accordance with local regulations.

Polaris product is guaranteed under normal conditions of use as well as from its date of purchase for a period of: 

• 10 years on the frame

• 2 years on cushions, mattresses and reclining mechanisms, stitching, hand-held devices and / or electronic suspension systems (piston rings), finished in wood beams and fabric coverings. After the first year from the date of purchase, the Warranty only covers the parts and materials needed for the repair, but not the cost of labor

• 2 years for any rips and tears in the leather. After the first year from the date of purchase, the Warranty only covers the parts and materials needed for the repair, but not the cost of labor. Polaris guarantees the authenticity of its leather upholstery

We remind the purchaser that the softening of cushions is a result of normal use of the product, and not to be confused with a loss of consistency due to manufacturing errors or imperfections in the material.

 

Exclusions and Exceptions 

Warranty is excluded for lack of conformity if, at the time of purchase, the consumer was aware or if he could not ignore the use of reasonable diligence, or if the lack of conformity resulting from instructions or materials supplied by the consumer. 

This Warranty does not cover claims related to: 

natural creases or stains caused by lesions of the leather or by variations in grain and color due to the natural properties of the leather. These features simply attest to the use of genuine leather; 

damage to the leather or fabric caused by the application of chemicals detergents or fabric softeners unsuitable or treatments not approved by Polaris; 

cracks or exfoliation of the leather;

damage caused by burns, cuts, animals or other forms of misuse; 

damage due to negligence of the consumer and inadequate cleaning or coating treatment; 

damage caused by corrosive materials, such as acids or solvents, dyes, inks, paints, human or animal body fluids; 

damage resulting from direct exposure to sunlight and / or heat sources, and similar conditions, and consequent discoloration; 

commercial use, whether in contract, institutional or other non-residential (ie, within the normal living environment) of the product; 

damage caused by abuse, misuse or force majeure; 

damage due to incorrect transport or handling of the product; 

sales of sampling or sales in the state in which it is; 

repairs carried out by persons not authorized by Polaris;

interpretation of defects caused by misinformation or negligence on the part of the vendor. 

The Warranty also does not cover: 

claims for product which has been tampered with; 

the buyer, if he has transferred the collateral to a third party or changed address

compared to that quoted for delivery of the product; 

any cost of packaging and shipping to and from the manufacturer, the dealer or another point of repair determined by Polaris.

Polaris provides no other warranties that are not reported here, unless otherwise provided by law. The buyer specific rights protected by this Warranty may vary from state to state.
